COMMISSIONING MANAGEMENT SERVICES
COMMISSIONING MANAGEMENT OVERVIEW
Commissioning management is a quality assurance process that enhances the delivery of new construction, refurbishment, or fit-out projects. It involves planning, organisation, coordination, and control of commissioning activities to ensure that the building services systems operate and integrate optimally to meet the defined objectives, employers requirements and statutory requirements.
The role of a commissioning manager is essential in the mechanical, electrical and public health building services process to ensure that commissioning works are managed correctly and performed to a high quality standard, as well as ensuring that the project is handed over on time. Building projects are becoming more complex with increased technology, smart buildings and faster programmes, which is why commissioning management is essential for successful delivery. In addition there is now a common requirement for Commissioning management to achieve BRREEAM credits on applicable projects.
